CVS Deals August 22-28

To take advantage of CVS' published sale prices you need to sign up for an Extra Care Card in the store or online.  Once you have an Extra Care Card, you'll start earning cash back (in the form of Extra Care Bucks) that can be printed at the end of each quarter, in addition to getting sale prices and Extra Care Bucks deals in the ad.


What are Extra Care Bucks (ECBs)? They're like a store credit.  They'll show on your receipt as a manufacturer coupon, but you can use them just like a store credit by the date purchased and only with your Extra Care Card.  You cannot use ECBs someone has given you because they are tied to the card.


You can stack CVS coupons and manufacturer coupons. You can find them online here, in the newspaper inserts (occasionally) or sometimes in the mail and the Big, Red Coupon Machine (also the price check scanner) in the store.

Free Sobe Lifewater at CVS

Sobe Lifewater is going to be on a BOGO sale again at CVS starting Sunday.  I recommend getting out early in the week to stock up.

If you don't have any bogo coupons left from the Sobe Heads or Tails Game, head over an play it again. I haven't heard if that coupon has reset. So let me know what you find out.

Couponing: The Easiest "Trick" aka Stores' best kept secret

A number of stores, Target, Walgreens, CVS, Family Dollar and Dollar General offer what are known as "store coupons."  You've seen these.  Next to the expiration date where it normally says "Manufacturer Coupon" they'll simply say "Store Coupon" or "Target Coupon" etc. 

The big secret?

You can use these coupons with a Manufacturer Coupon to increase your savings!

This is how many couponers score free or extremely cheap merchandise at many of these retailers.  So, if you don't want to worry about how to roll Register Rewards or Extra Care Bucks, keep this trick in you're back pocket and you'll still be shelling out a lot less.

This doesn't guarantee that every store offering Store Coupons allows you to combine them with Manufacturer Coupons.  You should check with that store first, but those I've listed DO allow this at this time.
